About Lhasa Apsos:

This dog is playful and affectionate with its owners, but it's reserved with strangers. The Lhasa is bold and frequently quick-tempered, despite its cuddly appearance. It's not an ideal lapdog, nor is it usually tolerant of young children. This dog is playful and affectionate with its owners, but it's reserved with strangers. Care and Exercise:

Considerable coat care is imperative. Daily brushing, plus about 1 hour of real grooming twice a week, will keep the Lhasa Apso’s coat in glorious condition. Active indoors and out, dog needs a fair amount of exercise. Long walks are not essential, but should be exercised on a routine basis.

Recommended Households:

The Lhasa Apso should be purchased carefully, from a reputable breeder. Homes with younger or inconsiderate children are not ideal environments for this breed. The Lhasa is suited only to owners willing to take care of its long, abundant coat.
