Potter's Leopard Wrasse

The Potter's Leopard Wrasse is common in the aquarium hobby, particularly in tanks marked "assorted wrasses".  They are also one of the more strikingly colored of the smaller "coris" wrasses.  The Potter's Leopard Wrasse is a member of the wrasse family that is endemic to the Central Pacific region and the Hawaiian islands. They are not typically aggressive and can be kept peacefully in tank communities with other non-aggressive fish. This species has a penchant for eating snails and other hard-shelled inverts or crustaceans.  Potter's Leopard Wrasses frequent shallow water in areas of coral rubble and sand where they can search the substrate for food items.
