White Skirt Tetra

This is the same species as the Black Skirt Tetra, just a color variation. It is sometimes sold as "Blueberry" or "Strawberry" Tetras after having been fed a pigment via food. The color may last for several months or only a few weeks and apparently leaves the fish no worse for wear after ingesting it. The White Skirt Tetra is a very common fish in the Guapore River basins of southern Brazil, Argentina and Bolivia. Also found in Paraguay.
