Also known as White Cloud Mountain Minnows, these small fish barely attain an inch and a half in length. Hardy and undemanding, it fairs well in clean water with a cool temperature of 70 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit. They will tolerate warmer water, but their coloration often becomes dull and they lose the bright red of the tail and striated markings on the sides. Likes to school and feed on small insects and crustaceans.
