Facts and Information
Only found in Niamkolo Bay in Lake Tanganykia. This species requires lots of snail shells to hide in. If you don't have any shells, or don't have enough, it will dig in the gravel or sand and pile it all over the tank. Grows to just under two inches, and the bars on the male are not as intensely colored as they are on the female. Keep them in a pair, and in a tank with other small Tanganyikan cichlids.
