Facts and Information
A small "earth eating cichlid" from the rivers of Bolivia and Brazil that feeds by taking in mouthfuls of river silt and sand and sifting out the insect larvae, small crustaceans and decaying plant matter. These cichlids are small, only growing to two inches, the females about an inch and a half. What they lack in size, they make up for with their brilliant colors.
