Facts and Information
The Albino Cory Cat is easily one of the most common corydoras species available, and for good reason. They are active and lively, peaceable and quite hardy. Corys often take trips to the surface for a gulp of air, which is passed to the intestinal walls where the oxygen is absorbed for use. The ability to do this allows them to survive in waters with a low dissolved oxygen content. Sometimes fish get caught in seasonal pools after the river recedes to non-rainy season levels and if they were not unable to utilize atmospheric oxygen, they would not survive until the next rain.
