SALES ASSOCIATE
Uncle Bill’s is currently seeking enthusiastic, energetic, and service-oriented pet lovers to be part of a retail staff of 20 or more. We are in search of full- or part-time motivated, reliable individuals to operate the sales floor and assist customers in our business. Your work adds value through the joy of connecting people to the right pets and pet supplies for them, enriching the lives of animals and pet parents alike. Your strong communication skills and retail knowledge will help set the example for your team while performing various tasks related to customer service, sales, visual merchandising, and other operations as needed.
In the store’s fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere it is expected of you to exhibit poise and composure as you learn from each new challenge. You will help deliver positive experiences for customers as they inquire, shop, and require support, all while remaining positive and polite with the interest to provide the best sales experience possible. Product knowledge is a plus, but not required.
• Self-motivated, outgoing, and willing to interact with customers.
• Must be able to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to challenges while remaining composed in a constantly changing, fast-paced retail environment.
• Understanding of retail fundamentals.
• Demonstrated ability to drive remarkable customer experiences.
• Willing to roll up your sleeves and take initiative with strong work ethic, ability to claim ownership, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
• Excellent communication skills and an organized, detail-oriented nature.
• Flexibility with scheduling as work hours will vary and be based on business needs.
• Work well independently with minimal supervision in a bustling, ever-changing setting as well as in a team situation.
• Base salary founded on experience, and benefits include incentives for reaching set goals and outstanding performance.
• Physical demands may include: occasional lifting of objects up to 40 lbs.; long durations of standing, stooping, and/or moving about; may be exposed to moderate noise levels; and potential exposure to allergens.
