Facts and Information
The most regal of the Atlantic coral reef fishes, the highly sought-after Queen Angelfish is the center of many marine aquariums. Adults are simply spectacular with the brilliant green and blue coloration, topped off with an electric blue "crown" on the forehead, quite befitting for such a magnificent fish. Juveniles are often imported and settle in aquarium life quite easily. Mature adults need plenty of room to swim, and lots of caves and grottos to explore. A voracious sponge-eater in the wild, Queen Angelfish will also feed on sea-squirts, bryozoans and hydroids. Basically, anything that will sit still long enough for it to take a bite of!
